WELCOME TO OCHRE LEURA . We work with Aboriginal owned Art centres, upholding cultural traditions, places of great innovation, where excellence and arts management unite to inspire, nuture and further cultural indigenous expression with confidence. Our aims are:

to support the continuing development of a strong Indigenous art industry for Aboriginal artists by ensuring they have a strong and respected voice in the arts industry
to improve the standard and quality of life for Indigenous artists
to work together to support the development of strong and sustainable Indigenous owned Art Centres.

'Ochre' is situated in the historic village of Leura in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales. Just one and half hours drive from Sydney it is a must to see when visiting the World Heritage National Park.

Ochre Aboriginal Art and Craft Gallery is in a Heritage building at the top end of Leura Mall diagonally opposite the Leura Railway Station. The Gallery seeks to educate and proudly show the diversity of the many Aboriginal Communities represented. We offer a wide range of books, educational material, and music. Artworks, bark paintings, carvings and weavings are showcased from many different communities throughout Australia.
